Area Contest
The Area Contest of Area C1 was held on Saturday the 26th of March 2022 via Zoom, with the participation of the first and second place winners of all the clubs in the Area. Rifdhan Rifark and Fawaz Jainudeen were able to secure winning positions and be eligible to proceed to the Division Contest to be held online via Zoom, on the 10th of April.

The Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest was held on 2nd of October 2021 via Zoom.
Contest Masters TM Usman Firdausi and TM Hazim Mubarak set the right stage for the contestants and the audience to spend time in laughter.

The Area Contest of Area C1 was held on Saturday, 23rd of October 2021 via Zoom, with the contesting of the first and second place winners of all the clubs in Area C1. Awakeners were able to secure 2 out of the 3 winning positions in this contest.

The International Speech contest was held online (via Zoom), on the 23rd of January 2021. The Contest Chair for the event was TM Hakeem Mubarak while the Chief Judge TM Muhammed Saeed ensured the contest proceedings went as per the requirements.

The Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest was held on 3rd of October 2020 at Billari, Colombo 5.
Chief Judge TM Venura Liyanagoda with his panel of Judges witnessed the Emcees TM Safwaan Hussain and TM Aadhil Mohamed who took the floor and set the environment for the contestants.

Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest 2019/20
Club Contest
Awakening Toastmasters’ club contest for Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest was held on the 12th of October 2019 which took place in the regular meeting venue, The Queen’s Cafe, Colombo 3. Each contestant certainly awakened the audience and demonstrated commitment to winning the contest!
Chief Judge TM Mafaz Ifham was ready with his panel of Judges and Emcee TM Fairooz Marikar took the floor and eased the atmosphere with his humor.
The contest began with the Evaluation contest where the Mystery Speaker – Mumina Hakeem, in her highly motivational speech “Disastrous blessings”, shared with the audience her own childhood story.
Her speech was then evaluated by contestants Muhammad Saeed, Ishfaaq Uvaim, Zakir Nuhman, Umar Firdausi, Hakeem Mubarak, Nafhan Naseem, Safwaan Husain, Farhan Unais, Mohammed Siddique and Nishath Naufer. This was followed by the Humorous Speech contest.
