Installation Ceremony 2024/25

On July 21st, I had the privilege of hosting the 11th Installation Ceremony of Awakening Toastmasters, held at the elegant Wyndham by Ramada. The theme, “Cultivating Change,” perfectly captured the essence of growth and transformation that our club fosters.

The ceremony began with an energetic curtain-raiser, setting a positive tone for the day. As the Host, I welcomed members and guests, guiding them through a program filled with inspiration, recognition, and celebration.

One of the most inspiring moments was the address by our Chief Guest, DTM Balraj Arunasalam, Past International President of Toastmasters. He spoke passionately about how anyone, regardless of their background or profession, can grow into a skilled speaker and evaluator with dedication and the right platform. His words were a powerful reminder of the inclusivity and opportunities Toastmasters provides.

Our Guest of Honor, TM Ganga Fernando, shared heartfelt reflections on the leadership Awakening Toastmasters has demonstrated over the years. She recounted fond memories of the club’s journey and highlighted its significant contributions to the Toastmasters District. Her words reinforced the sense of pride and belonging we feel as part of this vibrant community.

The event also recognized the hard work of our members through awards, including the Awakening Fitness Awards, celebrating both personal and professional growth. Entertainment segments added fun and excitement, making the ceremony even more enjoyable.

The day’s highlight was the installation of new office bearers. As they took their oaths, it was clear that the club’s future is in capable hands. The Incoming President shared an inspiring vision, motivating us all to embrace change and strive for excellence together.

As the ceremony concluded, I reflected on how special it was to be part of this event. Awakening Toastmasters continues to be a beacon of growth, leadership, and camaraderie, and I’m excited to see what we will achieve in the coming year.
