The Area C1 Speech Contests under District 82 were held on the 22nd of March 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Awakening Studio. The event brought together exceptional speakers from four clubs—Awakening Toastmasters, Versatile Toastmasters, Singer Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club, and AATSL Emerging Toastmasters Club—for a morning of competition, camaraderie, and color.
The International Speech Contest was masterfully hosted by TM Ishaf Ahamed, while the Table Topics Contest was conducted with energy and flair by TM Mashood Ikram. The event was graced by the presence of the Area C1 Director, TM Najeeb Shaheel.
In the International Speech Contest, first place was awarded to TM Rifdhan Rifark for his powerful and thought-provoking speech. TM Himaya Samarakkody and TM Nabeel Nazeel secured second and third places respectively, each delivering speeches that resonated deeply with the audience.
The Table Topics Contest saw sharp thinking on display, with TM Zumry Iqbal claiming first place, followed by TM Chanuka Akash in second and TM Safwan Hussain in third.
The atmosphere was electric, with a full house of enthusiastic Toastmasters and guests. Each speaker brought their own unique perspective and energy, truly adding color to the event. It was a competitive yet uplifting morning that highlighted the spirit of growth and confidence Toastmasters instills.
With these talented individuals moving forward to the Division level, Area C1 beams with pride and anticipation for what’s next.
